6. Tauhidur Rahman
My name is Tauhidur Rahman and I’m an aspiring writer. At the moment I’m pursuing a Masters in Creative Writing at ULAB. Professionally I am working as a Communication Associate for MetLife Bangladesh. However, the creative worm inside me keeps tingling every day. Writing is my passion, escape, most comfortable mode of expression and not least, a reflection of myself. Writing poems is what I am most passionate about, however, time constraints and a busy schedule of life has brought me down to scribbling Haikus every now and then and these small poems is what makes me feel alive in between the chaos of life. I aspire to be a published writer someday only to leave an impact and contribute to the never-ending literary ebb in my humble capacity which will live on after I am no more. Try me for all your writing solutions and you can reach me at <tauhidur.rahman.deh@ulab.edu.bd>
7. Rifat Islam Chowdhury
Hello! My name is Rifat Islam Chowdhury. After changing multiple academic institutions and mediums I completed my G.E.D. in 2014 and thereafter enrolled myself in ULAB's English Department. Currently, After a break, I joined the Masters program which I expect to complete sometime next year. In a surreal way, my Bachelor’s life in ULAB helped me to curate myself to be able to see and feel the multiple facades of human reasoning, and not be afraid to use multiple lenses to look at the outside world and inside. To me, the rich literature department at ULAB is equivalent to the Library of Alexandria in classical times. Every time I enter the this world of books, stories and tales start to engulf me. We started discussing, we used to have a discourse. We used to put hours into discoursing on whether Art was ever meant to be created. Or whether it was a sweet crime of summoning a mere entity that was pure and natural and innocent in every possible form and beyond. Or is it simply a manifestation of emotions that has the capability to levitate souls? This Fall the Library of Alexandria revealed its beautiful door to me again. And the door is the Eng-550 Playwriting course. The entire atmosphere along with the ambiance is set in such an intricate, soothing, and trance-like state by our esteemed faculties which helps us as students to grow and flourish and merge ourselves with the Entities of Art. Through this search for the Muse, I wish to carry on my pursuit of writing. Wish me luck! Feel free to share your thoughts or just drop by @rifat.islam1.deh@ulab.edu.bd
